He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ross Averett and Grace Averett (Edwards); and his wife Bonita Rodgers. He is survived by: his sister Piney; his brother-in-law David Bramlett of Seymour; his niece Elicia Foster of Olney; and his stepchildren, Del Rodgers of Olney, David Rodgers of Olney, Renee Rockenbaugh of Copperas Cove and Barbie Rodgers of Olney. He is also survived by fourteen step-grandchildren.
