He was predeceased by: his sister Myrna Goodson; and his grandson Stephens, IV. He is survived by: his wife Gail Story of Olney; his son John Edgar Story III; his wife Mandy Jordan of Henrietta; his daughter Leigh Ann Stephens (Steve) of Olney; his siblings, Carl Story (Maco) of Weatherford and Gladys Speck (Jimmie) of Overton; his brother-in-law Don Goodson of Longview; and also Darren Jordan (Elizabeth) of Graham. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
