With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Fobbs Jr. of Olney, Texas, born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on July 18, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Fobbs, Sr. and Clara Fobbs (Jernigan); his siblings, Ulacell Hawkins, Minnie Kay Tatum, Bernell Hence (Norice), Ina Norris, Alice Waugh and William Fobbs Sr. (Bay); and his children, Atlene Moore (Fobbs), Joe Eddie Fobbs, Joseph Fobbs, Horace Fobbs and Cleo Fobbs.
He is survived by: his wife Verma Fobbs of Olney, Texas; his children, Howard Calloway Fobbs of Tyler, Odis Fobbs of Vernon, Vernell Fobbs of Odessa, Reba Fobbs Givens of Midland, Vivian Paul of Dallas, Sandra Fobbs Paul of Olney, Freeman Earl Fobbs of Olney, Lorene Fobbs Williams of Newport News, Virginia, Steve Fobbs of Dallas, Angela Givens of Ft. Worth, Tongula Givens Steddum of Houston and Teresa Fobbs of Olney, Texas; and his brother Horace Fobbs of Lubbock, Texas.. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
