He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Heard and Jewel May Smith Heard; his siblings, Gerald Heard, Floyd Heard, Lloyd Heard and Alwana Heard Womble; and his former wives, Geneva Walters Heard and Joann Williams Heard.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy High Heard of Graham, Texas; his children, Jan Janssen (Mike) of Oklahoma City, Sanford Heard of Olney, Rhonell George (Nancy) of Holliday, Nanette Ames (Rich) of Missouri, Richard Heard (DeLisa) of Iowa Park, Lisa Heard Clayton of Minnesota, Jim Stout of Seymour and Wendy Jones of Jacksboro, Texas.; and his sister-in-law Jo Heard of Munday, Texas.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home (300 S Avenue M, Olney, TX 76374). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Restland Cemetery.
