He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Fichte and Ouida Fichte; his wife Jeanie; and his brothers, Frank and Mike.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Fichte (Karen) of Mansfield, Texas and Jana Terrazi of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his grandchildren, Justin Powless of Nashville, Ben Fichte of Mansfield, Texas and Hannah Powless; and his sister Marilyn Norris (Jerold) of Megargel, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
