She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Valdez Cortez and Tomas Cortez Jr.; and her brothers, Eloy, Tommy and Rolando Cortez.
She is survived by: her husband Juan Arellano; her sisters, Norma, Irma, Velma, Teresa and Nelda; and her children, Verónica Banda, Sonny Lee Cortez, Ramiro Cortez Jr. and Juan Arellano Jr.. She is also survived by Her 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and all her nieces and nephews.
