He is survived by: his wife Aurora Hernandez; his children, Luis Hernandez III (Noemi), Daniel Hernandez (Melissa) and Crystal Hernandez-Nogueira (Johnathan Nogueira); his grandchildren, Daniel Jessie Hernandez, Melanie Amaro, Anahi Amaro, Johnathan Nogueira Jr., Leah Aurora Hernandez, Gilbert Luis Hernandez, Luis Hernandez IV, Jesus Santos Hernandez, Isaac James Nogueira, Lexi Avani Nogueira and Angelica Noemi Hernandez; his son Jessie Hernandez; and his siblings, Irma Peralez, Leticia Muniz, Santiago Hernandez, Enrique Hernandez, Victor Hernandez and Domingo Hernandez.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Thomae Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church (9178 Tomas Cortez Jr St, Olmito, TX 78575).
