She was predeceased by: her husband Jorge Alvear Sr.; her son Ricardo "Ricky" Alvear Sr.; her parents, Nicolas Lopez Sr. and Consuelo Garcia Lopez; and her siblings, Isabel Orozco, Gilberto De Leon Sr., Arturo Lopez, Jose Lopez Sr. and Nicolas Lopez Jr. Consuelo.

She is survived by: her sons, Armando, Roberto, Arnoldo "Ernie" Alvear and Jorge Luis Alvear (Norma); her daughter-in-law Diana C. Alvear; and her siblings, Alfredo Lopez (Enedelia), Hector Lopez (Victoria), Amparo Cavazos (Juan), Elva and Ana (Jesus). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
