He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Placido Lozano Martinez and Paula Cabrera Cortinas; his brother-in-law Gary Ortega; his daughter Loretta Williams (David Williams); his granddaughters, Helen Williams and Catarina Clarkson (Kyle Clarkson); his great grandchildren, Kennedy Kitchens and Phoebe Kitchens; his grandchildren, James Ortega and Hilary Ortega; his wife Rosemary Martinez; his stepdaughter Elizabeth Figueroa; his stepgrandchildren, April Pina Figueroa and Frankie Figueroa; his grandson Jose Figueroa; his stepdaughter Debbie (Mark Rodriguez); his stepgranddaughter Melissa Byers; his grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob and Aubree; his stepdaughter Estella Becerra; his stepgrandsons, Lucas Flores, Roy Flores and Joel Becerra; his stepdaughter Angela Perez; his cousins, Benny and Goliad; and also David Williams.

In 2004, Benny wanted to create public awareness and fund raising for the Tejano Monument on a statewide level, so he rode his beautiful horse, Brooke Shields, from Goliad, Texas to Austin, Texas stopping at schools along the way collecting donations and giving talks about the Monument.
