With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Viola Pacheco Razo of Odessa, Texas, born in Marfa, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariana Sotelo and Antonio Pacheco; her husband Johnny Razo; her son John Anthony Razo I; her brothers, Jose Sotelo, Chon Sotelo and Tony Pacheco; and her son-in-law James Gilly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Yvonne Zubiate (Tony Manriquez), Naomi Gilly of Odessa, TX, Yolanda Gordon (Cliff) and Valerie Martinez (Ricardo); her grandchildren, John Anthony, Luz Alma (Jesse), Yvette, Aaron, Jasalyn, Cencee, Faith, Clifford John, Vanessa (Caleb), Justice and Martika; and her siblings, Lilian Garza, Yolanda Patton and Alvaro Sotelo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alpine Memorial Funeral Home (209 W Sul Ross Ave, Alpine, TX 79830). A Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (211 W San Antonio St, Marfa, TX 79843). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
