He is survived by: his wife Janie; and his children, Reginaldo Chavez Leonel (Melinda) of Odessa, Julio Cesar Chavez of Odessa and Viola Chavez Nicolas (Camilo). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 11 nieces and 8 nephews and countless great nieces and nephews.
