He is survived by: his parents, Lisa Teakell Keck and Robert Teakell; his grandfathers, Larry D. Hailes, Jesse Paul Kirkland Jr. and Louis V. "Pop" Teakell; his aunt Donna Lynn Teakell-Jones; his uncle Jesse Paul "Trey" Kirkland III; his sister Kelsi Teakell-Sanchez (Victor Sanchez); his stepparents, Leann Teakell and Josh Keck; and his grandmothers, Sheridan "Nannie" C. Kirkland, Gladys "Mema" Ruth Teakell and Peggy Sue Hailes. He is also survived by his stepsiblings and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and puppies.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you can make donations to Meals on Wheels.
