She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey and Williamson; her husband Sherman Newton; her son Kevin Lee; her sisters, Mary Gladys Fielder and Annette Dowdle; her brother-in-law Calvin Fielder (Mutt); and her nephew Keith.

She is survived by: her daughter Laura Sawyers (Newton); her grandson William Lee; her niece Diane; and her nephews, Larry, Brent and Noel. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
