He was predeceased by: his mother Irma Jean Collins; his brother Mark Collins; his father Monty R. Collins; and his friend Randy Bartand. He is survived by: his daughter Morgan Elizabeth; his wife Wendy Wood-Collins; his stepchildren, Dustin Wood, Damen Wood, Danika Young, Derek Wood and David Wood; his grandchildren, Grady, Keegan, Samuel, Dylan and Dove; and also Ronny Cooke.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762).
