He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Howard and Carol Hagen; his grandfather Hung Van Nguyen; his great-aunt Connie Prado; and his great-uncle Joe Alaniz.

He is survived by: his parents, Rosario Oropeza and Phūc Hung Nguyen; his grandparents, Sylvia Alaniz, Marcelino Oropeza and Yen Lee Nguyen; his great-aunt Carla Bolt; his great-uncles, Paul Bolt and Gary Hagen; his siblings, Catalina Campos and Luke Nguyen; his nephew Rowan Simpson; and his close friend Blayne Jarrell. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
