We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, at the age of 54, Lola Mae Lashawn Brooks of Odessa, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Lola may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She is survived by: her parent Lorene Griffin; her husband Eric; her children, RaeShawn, Gary, Jamar and Johnathan Brooks; and her siblings, Beatrice and Maurice Griffin. She is also survived by family members and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel (500 E 3rd St, Portales, NM 88130).
