She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Harvey Wester and Bonnie Lee Maddux Wester; her in-laws, Sidney and Betty Jean Baxter; her granddaughter Kaitlin Whitfield; her siblings, Millie Ward and Gene Wester; her brother-in-law Carey Baxter; and her nephew Aaron Roper.
She is survived by: her husband Benny Baxter of Odessa, TX; her daughters, Janie Whitfield of Odessa and Marsha Sowell (John) of Portland, TX; her grandchildren, Kelsey Whitfield, Hunter Sowell and Brandon Sowell; her sisters, Carolyn Farris (Jimmie) and Patsy Roper (Eddie); and her brothers-in-law, Tommy Baxter (Johnnie) and Eddy Baxter.
