He was predeceased by: his parents, Cipriano Chavez and Consuelo Ochoa; his in-laws, Reynaldo and Margarita Perea; his brothers, Fred Chavez and Richard Chavez; and his son Adrian Antonio Chavez.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Chavez; his sons, Brian (Rosemary), Jacob and Paul; his grandchildren, Claudia, Anthony K., Melissa, Reece, Orion and Frankie; his great grandchildren, Aviana, Aralynn and Anthony D.; his sisters-in-law, Amparo and Rose; and his nieces and nephews, Connie, Ricky, Louie, Nora, Ronnie, Dini, Missy, Prissy, Fernando, Vinny, Jennifer and Valerie.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (6801 E, I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (907 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761). A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762).
