He was predeceased by: his parents, Tiburcio Ybarra (Blacky) and Manuela Ybarra (Nelly); and his sisters, Betty Ortiz, Eleanor Lee, Mary Helen Saffel and Guadalupe Garza.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Chavez of Ybarra; his children, Denise Ybarra Borunda and Juan Norberto Ybarra; his grandchildren, Breanna Borunda, Jeff Borunda, Angel Borunda III (Bianca), Marina "Iza" Borunda, Xzavian and Ellyanna Borunda; and his brothers, Tiburcio Ybarra Jr. (Gracie), Miguel Ybarra (Loli) and David Ybarra (Charlie).
