He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Orarenzia Mathis and James Mathis; his parent Sallie Mae Boyd; his brother Curtis Mathis; and his children, Marcus Edward Jones and Jocelyn Denise Robas.
He is survived by: his son Brandon Mathis (Coise); his nieces and nephews, Bryant (BJ), Sarenda Godfrey (Corey), Cameisha Mathis and Jermiah Mathis; and his grandchildren, Jalah Nealy, Jordyn Mathis and Jianna Mathis. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory (1040 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharon Baptist Church (1615 E Murphy St, Odessa, TX 79761).
