It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Hudgins Thomas (Odessa, Texas), who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband J. D. Thomas; her parents, Kenchlo Hudgins and Elizabeth Hudgins; her brothers, Will, Rufus and Elbert James; and also Leroy Hudgins.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Thomas (Sheniqua Thomas), Ishmeal Hudgins (Direada) of Arlington, Bernadine of Fort, Donna Thomas of Fort, Marilyn Wallace (Allen Wallace), Karen Thomas-Rose (Renwick Rose) and Pamela Thomas; her brother Raydell Hudgins (KenchloHudgins); and her grandchildren, Shawn'ta, Tishana, LaQuana, Brandon, D'Adrian, Ty-Ron, Tara, Anthony and Asiah. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
