It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Dennis Moorer (Odessa, Texas), who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Ray and Ira Lee Flowers (Joe Willie Moorer); her brothers, Rufus Ray and Floyd Penny; her nephew Kenneth Ray; and her niece Lisa Penny.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Black (Sam) and Darrell Gibbs (Fawn); her grandchildren, Samuel Black (Ashley), Tiffany Gibbs of Odessa, TX, Darrell Gibbs Jr. (Justine), Erica Lewis of Forney, TX, Rashaun Black of Atlanta, GA and Mia Black of Dallas, TX; her niece Regina Ray of Ft. Worth, TX; her nephew Lee Ray (Cheryl) of Aledo, TX; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Taneisha Green (Dana), Pam Bumpers (Mark), Ayasha Ray, Ashlee Ray, Zaniah Ray, Aurelia Lewis, Nik Lewis, Colby Ray, AJ Ray, Kelby Ray and Jacolby Ray; and her cousin Kathy Hubert. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory (1040 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761).
