He is survived by: his wife Gertie Sawyers (Grove); his son Bobby Joe; his daughter-in-law Toni F. Sawyers (George Sawyers); his great grandchild Emily Ryan Hopkins; his sons, Ruben D. Sawyers Jr. (Laura) of Odessa, TX., George G. Sawyers of Odessa, TX. and Jimmy D. Sawyers (Denise) of Odessa, TX.; his grandchildren, Steven, Stephiane, Raychel, Kurtis, Taylor, Dusten, Gordon and Zane; and his great grandchildren, Samantha, Skylar, Alex, Sara, Annie, Lexi, Cayson, Ellie, Isabella, Ashley, Jonathan, Krystal, Bethany and Christopher.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the American Heritage Funeral Home (4100 FM1788, Midland, TX 79707). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
