She was predeceased by: her parents, George Williams and Laurah Caldonia Fipps Williams; her husband Bruce Merritt Sr.; and her children, Bruce "Scottie" Merritt Jr., Robert Merritt and Vanda Ezzo.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Davis, Karen Adams, Dorothy Lamecker and Thomas Merritt; her daughter-in-law Tamara Merritt; and her friend Phyllis Tidwell. She is also survived by her friends and co-workers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (401 N Center St, Gladewater, TX 75647). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery (6801 E, I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762).
