He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Torango and Ester Torango (Rodriguez); his siblings, Benny Torango, Manuel Torango and Lenore Brown; and his nephew James Villa.

He is survived by: his wife Carolina Longoria Torango; his children, Jessica Chavez, Ester Torango, Jennifer Perez (Ricardo), Raul Torango Jr. (Jackie) and Joey Rivas (Helen); and his siblings, Elva Torango, Maria Torango, Elena Pardon, Felix Torango and Yolanda Portillo. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
