He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lewis and Frankie Lewis (Chaney); his wife Delores LaRue Sprouse; his grandson Coy Caleb; his siblings, Earl Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Bea Smith (Lewis-Bice) and Carol Ann Mathis (Lewis); and his nephew Conrad Bice.

He is survived by: his children, Melissa Mullins (Shannon) and Michael Lewis (Sonya); his sister Judy Velasco (Peter); and his mother-in-law Frankie Sprouse. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 20 nieces and nephews.
