He was predeceased by: his parents, Agapito Burciaga and Maximina Mata; his stepfather Jose Mata; and his brother Bobby Mata. He is survived by: his daughter Savannah Burciaga; and his siblings, Armando Burciaga, Ricardo Burciaga (Maribel), Arturo Burciaga (Adelaida), Jose Mata, Antonia Garza, Maria Meras (Abel), Elsa Morris, Imelda Hawkins (Mark) and Rachel Medellin (Jose). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
