It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Garza (Odem, Texas), who passed away on May 23, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Gilberto R. "Welo" Garza, Sr.; her parents, Cruz Sr. and Francisca Santellana, Sr.; and her siblings, Amado Santellana and Ester DeLeon.
She is survived by: her children, Gilberto Garza, Jr. (Anita) of Odem, David Garza (Nancy Garcia) of Corpus Christi, Elena Mejias, Yolanda Garza, Alicia Gonzalez, Diana Garza (Arturo Lucio) and Virginia Garza; and her siblings, Cruz Santellana, Jr. of Odem, Santiago Santellana, Sr. (Chavela) of Odem, Aucencio "Teto" Santellana (Susana) of Odem, Juan Santellana (Delia) of Odem, Ramon Santellana (Rosa) of Odem, Frank "Pancho" Santellana (Frances) of Victoria, Richard Santellana of Corpus Christi, Olivia Perales of Odem and Eloisa Urbina (Beto) of Sinton. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
