He was predeceased by: his parents, H. V. Ricks and Vonnie Ricks; his siblings, H. O. Ricks, Bill J., Homer L, Rosa Lea, Darlene, Christine Ricks and Joseph Ricks; and his former wife Mary Holcomb.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Mae Comisky; and his wife Tammy Moratic. He is also survived by the sixth child of seven siblings.
