She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Forrest Burnham (Juke) and Ludonna Burnham; her husband Malcolm Sager; her daughter Alexis (Hunter Hesseltine); her brother Paul; her grandchild Emery Ray; her son Hayden Ray (Emily Sager); her brothers, Dr. Nick Burnham of Graham and David Burnham (Stacia) of Weatherford, Texas.; her siblings-in-law, Kathy Saied (Sammy) of Amarillo and Will Sager (Kelly) of Iowa; her nieces and nephews, Tita, Clay, Ben, Cole, Colby, Ashley, Julie, Corey David, Mark, Sean, Steven, Mary Katherine, Meghan, Beth and Josh; and her caregiver Aylenn Cabrera.
A Mass was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (3901 Violet Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78410). Not one time did Leesa shy away from the incredible odds heavily stacked against her…recovery at MD Anderson from major surgery in 2020 had to be done alone due to Covid restrictions…the only connection was through the phone.
