He was predeceased by: his father Randy; his brother L. B. Minter Jr.; and his sister-in-law Kelly Minter. He is survived by: his children, Brandie Hornback (Darren) of Tennessee Colony, Tabitha Whiteside (Michael) of Tennessee Colony, John R. Minter of College and David "Shawn" Avants of Palestine; his brothers, Ricky Minter (Mary), Billy Minter and Jerry Minter; and his grandchildren, Chara Gabbard, Shelby Shefield, Caitlyn Gabbard, Kayleigh, Witten Hornback and Colten Avants. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
