He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Copeland and Jessie Grimes Copeland; his wife Kathryn Langford Copeland (Nell); his grandson Joe Paul Don Copeland; and his siblings, Billy, Harmon Lee and Lera Price (Harris).
He is survived by: his daughters, Lee Ann Buscemi, Gwen Bowers, Patricia Weaver (Beth) and Barbara Copeland (Linda); his grandchildren, Kathy Jo Kindred (Greg), Brian Buscemi (Sarah), Jamie Lindsey (Darren) and Lester Bowers; his great grandchildren, Vincent, Nick (Casey), Molli, Truitt, Justin, Samantha, Jarid (Logan), Brian, Jr., Katie, Gauge and Charleigh; his great great grandchild Juniper; his sister Naomi Greer; and his sister-in-law Barbara Yarbrough.
