He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierre Meche and Vivian Meche; his daughter Linda Marie Meche; his grandsons, Bryan Meche, Mason Chambers and John Colin Kelley; and his great grandchild Landon Wayne Chambers.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Meche (Tanya) of DeQuincy, Sandra Aguillard (David) of Normangee, TX, Lori Liles (Jimmy) of Normangee, TX, Catherine Reed (James) of Normangee, TX, Christopher Meche of Orange, TX and Jennifer Meche of Moss Bluff; and his siblings, JoAnn Devalcourt, George Meche, Patrick "Pat" Meche, Marilyn Prejean, Angela and Angie. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
