He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Lee and Alice Edith Pundt Voelkel; and his sister Wanda Voelkel. He is survived by: his children, Andrea Dirnberger (Ben) and Brent Werzner (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Lukas Werzner and Skeilar Dirnberger; his brothers, Tim Voelkel (Ronda), Alan Voelkel (Kathy), Bob Voelkel (Matilda) and Boelter; and his nieces and nephews, Kolby Lee Voelkel, Kelsey Tyne Voelkel Hilbert (Matt), Taylor Voelkel (Andrew Malcolm), Johnathan Voelkel, Tanner Voelkel (Amy), Tara Voelkel, LeeAnn Draymala (Nathan) and Chelsea Pawelek (Jason). He is also survived by three great nieces and six great nephews.
