It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Sheridan Long of Nome, Texas, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gregg Long and Beatrice Elizabeth Long; his sister Mary Beth Kelley; his daughter Cynthia Long; and his grandsons, Joseph Mullen and Andrew Mullen.
He is survived by: his former wife Cecile Long; his wife Linda Long of Nome, TX; his children, Jay Sheridan Long Jr. of Atlanta, GA. and Tracy Mullen of Austin, TX; his brother Gregg Long of Manchanca, TX; his grandchildren, Erica Mullen of Austin, TX, Jeremy Johnson, Abby of Nome, TX, Conor Mullen, Patricia Wong of Austin, TX, Lindsey Johnson of San Antonio, TX and Brandon Fontenot of Nome; his great grandchildren, Ruby Mullen and Braxton Moore; and his nieces and nephews, Linda Castilla, Sharon Brown, Stephen Kelley and Darren Kelley.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cowboy Church (13803 US-90, Beaumont, TX 77713).
