Martel of Nome, Texas, born in Devers, Texas, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ardelia Dee Abshire and Elbert James DuBose, Sr.; her husband Raymond Martel; her son Larry Dewayne Martel, I; and her siblings, Lucille Aldrich, Fay Mobley, Dorothy Ray, Elbert DuBose, Jr., Pete DuBose, Gerald DuBose, Geraldine Martel and Loretta Lowe.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Abney of Nome, Cathy Martel (Matt Lopez) of China, Patty Allison (Don) of College Station and Mona Eckelman (Keith) of Livingston; her daughter-in-law Gay Martel of Sour Lake; her grandchildren, Dewayne Martel, II (Jonnine), Brent Abney (Rebecca), Natasha Kolander, Megan Brooks (Daniel), Kamri Garrison (Brady Lee), Byron Allison (Rachel), Sarah Johnson (Matt), Jacob Lopez, Lucas Lopez, Andrea Eckelman and Kayse Horton (Russell); her sister Linda Martel (Grady, Jr.); and her granddaughter Sommer. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
