He was predeceased by: his father Braxton Owen Ivey; and his brothers-in-law, Vernon May, Jeff Holmes and J. W. Whitfield. He is survived by: his mother Florene Odell (Brown); his children, Faye Laynette McKevitt (Brian), Robert Owen Ivey (Juliet), Barbara Carasco (Julien) and Andrew Ivey; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Brodwyn, Laynette, Julie, Nichole, Amanda, Ashley, Robert Jacob, John Cameron, Allison and Alexis; his great grandchild Gabriella; and his siblings, Shirley Whitfield, Elaine May, David Ivey, Kathy Wilson (Robert), Cindy Janysek (Richard) and Mary Holmes.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Valley Baptist Church (6242 TX-97, Cost, TX 78614). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
