She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberto Monsibais and Victoria Vara; her husband Alfredo Castillo; and her sons, Arnulfo, Genovevo, Domingo and Jacobo Castillo.

She is survived by: her children, Pedro Castillo, Marcelo Castillo, Jose Castillo, Bernabe Castillo, Nicasio Castillo (Angela), Leonor Mendiola (Martin), Maria Tristan (Fidencio) and Rosita Limon (Mario). She is also survived by 44 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
