Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helen Amelia Schnitz of Nixon, Texas, born in Gonzales, Texas, who passed away at the age of 85, on March 7, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Mills and Gladys Mills (Sessions); her siblings, Leslie Mills, Jr., Jackie Holmes Mills, Gladys Adelle Lawrence, Ruby Hare and Dottie Ivey; and her stepgrandson Johnathon Robert Henk.

She is survived by: her husband Wendell H. Schnitz, Sr.; her sons, Charles Allen Schnitz Sr. (Jennifer) and Wendell Herman Schnitz, Jr. (Laura); her grandsons, Charles Schnitz Jr. (Delane), Jacob Kyle Sanders (Amanda), Richard "Rickey" Allen Schnitz (Megan), Travis Anthony Schnitz (Valorie) and Derek Austin Schnitz; her stepgranddaughters, Sara Elizabeth Nino, Bridget Vandervort and Mary Aguillon; and her sisters, Audrey West, Darleen Tabor, Joyce Duell and Marlin Haygood. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
