He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reese and Mildred (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Zaranda Fox Newman; his daughters, Christine Hanley of Lumberton and Mable Chambliss of Buna; his brothers, Elton Reese of Latexo and John Hancock of Buna; and his nephew David Wayne Reese, Jr..
