He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Syree Odom and Alice Anderson Odom; his siblings, Louise Lambert, Joe Odom, James Odom and Ray Odom; and his great grandchild Lillian Grace Dixson.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Brenda Dixson (Joe) of Newton, TX and Lisa Vaughan (Lee) of Carrollton, TX; his siblings, Viola Gafford of Lucedale, MS and Bill Odom of Bay Minette, AL; and his grandchildren, Joseph Dixson (Heather), Johnathan Dixson, Anna Wilkerson (Noah), Alex Vaughan and Hayley Palvadeau (Stuart). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the John Odom Scholarship Fund (3812 Creekside Ln, Carrollton, TX 75010) to help a student who would like to attend a welding trade school.
