With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hector Phares of Newark, Texas, born in Velma, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 29, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Phares and Nettie Fitts Phares; and his siblings, Rachel, Iva, Esther, Barbara, Lorene and Bill.
He is survived by: his children, Sammy Phares and Kathy Rider of Grapevine, TX; his brother Jack Phares of Eufaula, OK; and his grandchildren, Shawn Phares of Newark, TX, Mandy Lynn Smalling and Robert James Smalling. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
