It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tonie Canik Halfmann (New Ulm, Texas), who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josef Canik and Marie Canik (Kulhanek); her husband Albert Halfmann; and her siblings, Mary Janish (Joseph), Joe Canik (Mary), Bertha Wostarek (John), Alfred Canik (Emma), Rudolf Canik (Lorena), Christine Pavlicek (Anton), Hermina Kubicek (Joe) and Vlasta Vasek (Jerome).
She is survived by: her children, Clarence Halfmann of Frelsburg, Margaret Kasmiersky (Raymond) of Sealy, Linda Cernoch (Leon) of Katy and Elaine Wavra (Donnie) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Tricia Jordan (David), Valerie Montemayor (Ted), Michael Kasmiersky (Sarah), Brian Cernoch (Tricia), Christine Cernoch, Karen Brown (Greg), Laura Kozel (Edward), Sarah Darr (Caleb), Roxann Stevenson (Richard) and Clinton Halfmann. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
