She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Lummus and Ozell Lummus; and her husband Howard Lee Nichols. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Nichols of Arp, Texas, Bobby Nichols (Lawanda) of New London, Texas, Sammy Nichols of New London, Texas, Peggy Chandler and Judy Carter (Kirk) of Carlisle, Texas.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home (905 S Commerce St, Overton, TX 75684).
Katie, a devoted homemaker, was also known for her many talents and contributions to her community.
