With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stafford Charles Dore of New Braunfels, Texas, born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dore and Uranie Dore (Guidry); and his siblings, Ivan, Vernes, Steven, Ames Dore, Enola Laviolette, Ruth Usie and Thelma Dore.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Dore (Guidry); his brother Larry (Jeanette Dore) of Scott Louisiana; his daughter Becky (Ted Borel) of New Braunfels, Texas; his grandsons, Jeremy (Mandy Borel) of Lake Jackson, Texas and Ted A (Cathy Borel) of Leander, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Truett, Dylan, Mila and Jagger Borel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Home (5200 W Parkway St, Groves, TX 77619). A rosary was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors (5200 W Parkway St, Groves, TX 77619). Viewing was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Home (5200 W Parkway St, Groves, TX 77619). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (4100 Lincoln Ave, Groves, TX 77619). A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:30 AM. A procession was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at the Memory Gardens of Jefferson County (US-69, Nederland, TX 77627).
