It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricardo Marques Jr. of New Braunfels, Texas, who passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Ricardo Marques Sr. (Cora) of Michigan and Linda Gates Gurnee (Allen) of North Carolina; his wife Melissa Valdez Marques; his children, Amanda Marie Herron (Tanner) of Tennessee, Felisha Long of New Braunfels, Richard Dean Marques of Connecticut and Rachel Mire (Brent) of Louisiana; his grandchildren, Noah, Emorie, Enslie, Ella, Emelia, Josie, Levi, Maesie, Laila and Colette; and his siblings, Jose Luis Marques (April) of Michigan, Randy Marques of North Carolina, Burton Gates (Cara) of Pennsylvania, Crystal Cambisaca (Eliadio) of North Carolina, Rebecca Gurnee of North Carolina, Sylvia Segovia (Izzy) of Michigan, Melynda Marques-Knowles (Cory) of Michigan and Elizabeth Marques of Michigan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
