He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy O. Menzel and Clara C. Uebele Menzel. He is survived by: his former wife Georgia Anne Nackman; his wife Susan M. Shirley; his children, Michele Young (Greg) and Paul Menzel (Trisha); his stepchildren, Sheryl Shirley, Stacey Parke and Tad Shirley; his grandchildren, Caleigh, Dylan, Lydia, Elaina, Britanni, Colt, Catherine, Braden, Megan, Anderson, Grace, Cara and Ella; his brother-in-law Robert Nackman; his cousin Tobias Neumann; his caregiver Allison; and his close friend Jim Cecchine (Ray).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zoeller Funeral Home (615 Landa St, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cross Lutheran Church (2171 Common St, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A committal service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079).
