He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Jerde and Orpha Jerde (Berhow); his wife Carol Diane Nygaard; his sons, Jay (Lyn), Madison, Wis, Ryan (Karla), Bristow and Heide (Doug); his grandchildren, Alexis and Evan; and his brother Jim. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
