She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie K. Kirst (Steinbach) and Joseph G. Kirst; her brother George J.; her sister-in-law Evelyn Kirst; her former husband Henry J. Novotka; and her husband Alton Schuetz.

She is survived by: her nephew Carl R. Kirst (Melinda) of Lockhart; her niece Joyce L. Kirst of New Braunfels; her great-nieces, Stephanie E. May (Jeffrey) of Austin and Andrea N. Rapp (Colby) of San Antonio; and also, Rylen, Tyler Rapp, Charles Schulze, Jennafer Schulze-Cryer and Melody Schulze-Ramirez.
