He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Friend and Minnie Friend; and his brother Myron Friend. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his friend New Braunfels; his son Gary Friend (Liza); his grandson Randy Friend (Tatyana); his great grandchild Archer Jack of Leander; his grandson Thomas; his friend Austin; and his sister Judy Mann of Tulsa, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
